Brian's Wood

>

Nestled on the site of an old gravel quarry, Brian’s Wood is a thriving woodland created from one man’s vision. In the 1960s, Farmer Steven’s grandfather, Brian, planted this woodland for future generations to explore, enjoy, and protect, and today it stands as a living legacy to his hard work and love of nature.

Now visited by thousands of children each year, Brian’s Wood is a place to explore, imagine, and connect with nature. Hidden among the trees you’ll find woodland musical instruments, den-building areas, Wendy housespigs, and endless opportunities for adventure.

Home to beech, oak, pine, horse chestnut, wild plum, sycamore, elder and more, the woodland provides vital shelter and food for local wildlife. As you wander the paths, keep an eye out for badgers, red kites, buzzards, and many other species that call Brian’s Wood home.

UK woodlands play an essential role in protecting our environment, producing oxygen, absorbing carbon dioxide, and supporting rich ecosystems. Brian’s Wood is proud to be a small but important part of that story.
